In Humla, ward 7 in Simikot a drinking water scheme, benefitting 131 people, is being repaired. Currently reservoir tank foundation laying work is ongoing, with local material needed for the construction being collected.

The water scheme is a one household one tap scheme, which has proven hygiene and gender equality benefits, and the scheme also serves one one birthing Centre and one school, Karnali Secondary School.
At the school, toilets and handwashing facility are being constructed; 4 girls toilets, 2 boys toilets with 1 urinal room and a fully accessible toilet. Local material collection and foundation work has been completed, with non-local material being transported this week for finishing the construction.

In the same ward in Simikot at Dobhan basic school, three toilets and handwashing facility are being constructed, with water coming from an already existing scheme. Bhimsen basic school, at ward 5 in Simkot, four toilets and handwashing facilities are being built. For both schools, almost all local material collection and foundation work has been completed, with pit digging and masonry work having started.
